The Mass-communication Department aims to act as a forum for public relations specialists, journalists, broadcast professionals, advertisers and marketers, content writers, graphic designers and illustrators, public health educators, corporate media managers, and other media professionals to know more about the neglected tropical diseases including mycetoma and their impact on patients, communities and the health systems and then to the use the different mass communication strategies to craft and launch strategic communication plans, from broadcast news to online campaigns and public health announcements. Furthermore, the department will use a diversity of mass media formats and communication practices to highlight the MRC different activities, research collaborations with various national and international institutions, future plans, and fundraising events.  

With this background, the MRC had established this Mass-Communication Department to produce and manage different communication material addressing mycetoma and the other NTDs issues.
