MRC and National University–Sudan Staff Successfully Complete DNDi Good Clinical Practice Training
Khartoum, Sudan — In a significant stride towards strengthening clinical research capacity and regulatory standards, staff members from the Mycetoma Research Centre (MRC) and the National University–Sudan have successfully completed a comprehensive Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training programme.
The specialized training was organised by the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), a prominent global non-profit innovative research organisation.
Reflecting the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of modern healthcare delivery and clinical trials, the training brought together a diverse cohort of professionals from both institutions. Participants included doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, and laboratory technicians.
Adherence to GCP guidelines is the international ethical and quality standard for designing, conducting, and reporting clinical trials. By equipping this multidisciplinary team with advanced GCP competencies, the MRC and the National University–Sudan reinforce their shared dedication to institutional research excellence, patient safety, and robust data integrity.
This milestone underscores a continuous commitment to local capacity building, ensuring that clinical research targeting neglected tropical diseases and broader public health challenges continues to meet the highest global benchmarks.
