Proteomics Unit

This unit is currently working on a project that will identify disease-specific metabolites present in the mycetoma patients body fluids using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and apply them for the diagnosis of mycetoma.

The project has five partners, and these are:

• Chemical Library Center, Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules, Nagoya University, Japan
• The Management Unit of Microbiological Resources, Medical Mycology Research Center, Chiba University, Japan
• Graduate School of Human Development and Environment, Kobe University, Japan
• Mycetoma Research Centre, University of Khartoum, Sudan
