Professor Satoshi Kaneko visit to the Mycetoma Research Centre

Professor Satoshi Kaneko, Department of Eco-epidemiology, Institute of Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University, Japan arrived in Khartoum, the Mycetoma Research Centre, as part of efforts to conduct the joint collaborative research project for Mycetoma diagnostic kit development.

The project is a collaboration between the Mycetoma Research Centre, University of Khartoum, Sudan, Nagasaki University, and Chiba University, Japan.

Professor Kaneko visited the University of Khartoum and accompanied by a delegation from the Japanese Embassy took a tour in the MRC, EL Hassan Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases Clinical Trials Research, and the Mycetoma Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Centre (SAA’ID).

The delegation heard from professor Fahal and MRC’s staff about the centre, its objectives, and the services it provides to patients and the community.
