The Clinical Trials Training Workshop
As part of the Mycetoma National Campaign, the Mycetoma Research Center started this month with The Clinical Trials Training Workshop (1st-9th of November) in collaboration with The Department of International Trials, Center for Clinical Sciences, National Center for Global Health and Medicine in Japan.
Several valuable talks were presented during the past week, including a presentation by Dr. Tatsuo Ilyama, Director of the Department of International Trials at the National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM) on the role of the ARISE Network in enhancing multinational research.
Professor Ahmed Mudawi, professor of immunology and physician specialist in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine, presented on the types of RCT Designs and Dr. Kannan Omer, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at University of Gezira delved further into the topic with his presentation on alternative designs for clinical trials.
