Hematology:   Complete Blood Count, Platelet count, Cell Preparation, Malarial smear, Peripheral smear, Reticulocyte Count, and Coagulation Tests (PT,PTT) Bleeding Time, Clotting Time, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR)

Clinical Chemistry:  Liver function test, renal function test, Electrolytes Determination including Ionized Calcium and Magnesium,

Microbiology:  Isolation, identification using wet mount smear, Molecular identification, in vitro susceptibility

Histopathology:  Preparation of histological blocks, Hematoxylin and eosin staining and special stains, Immunohistochemistry, FISH using FFPB

Cytopathology:  Fine needle aspiration cytology, diagnosis of mycetoma causative agents using aspirated materials, Diff-quick staining technique.

Molecular diagnostic unit:  Molecular diagnosis of mycetoma patients using different types of samples including aspirated materials and tissue excised from patient lesion. Conventional PCR. Multiplex PCR assay. RT-PCR. Sequencing

In Vitro Susceptibility Unit:  Monitoring the therapeutic effect, identification of resistant species
