Free public event on the sidelines of ECTMIH 2019

On the sidelines of ECTMIH and the NTD NGO Network Conference, DNDi was holding a public event entitled Better than Boiling Oil or Amputation? Stories behind the treatment needs of two of the world's most neglected tropical diseases (CL & mycetoma).

Speakers include Pip Stewart, a British adventurer who contracted cutaneous leishmaniasis on a record-breaking paddling trip in the Amazon, and two researchers working on the first-ever clinical trial for a fungal mycetoma treatment, Dr Sahar Bakhiet, a microbiologist at the Mycetoma Research Centre in Khartoum, Sudan who works with communities affected by mycetoma and Dr Borna Nyaoke-Anoke, a physician and clinical researcher from DNDi based in Nairobi, Kenya.

The event took place at Liverpool's Foresight Centre, (1 Brownlow St, Liverpool, near LSTM) on Monday, Sept. 16th, from 2:00 - 3:30pm.
