HINARI Training Workshop

HINARI 1

The Mycetoma Research and Development Arcade, the Mycetoma Research Center, as part of its continuing professional development, organised a training workshop on the life (R4L) platform for medical and health professionals on the First  of September 2022.

This training workshop was organised to improve researchers, scientists and clinicians' research and development skills for best evidence practice and research. It provided the participants with hand on training on literature databases search, selection of appropriate information and proper scientific citation.

The objectives of workshop were to give the participants a good understanding of medical and health information resources, the life (R4L) platform and the usage of  HINARI. The platform, HINARI offers access to thousands of journals, books, and other information resources in biomedical and health sciences topics. The journals and books can be searched through a special version of PubMed (Medline) and other databases.

HINARI 4

This workshop was a hands-on training activity with various interactive instructional techniques. There were brief presentations, with many small group teaching sessions and discussions.

HINARI 2

Many of the Mycetoma Research Center and the National University staff attend this activity. It was organised by Ms Lubna Suliman, Mrs Rihab Ahmed, and Ms Nema Ahmed, the Mycetoma Research Center, Research Assistants. As well as Ms Gehane Algarraya, Technical Assistant, The Library System and Dissemination/ WHO/EMRO Regional Office through the Zoom platform.
