The Mycetoma Young Researchers Association (MYRA)<\/h2>\n

Mycetoma is a massively neglected tropical disease affecting the poorest of the poor in impoverished, remote, underprivileged communities. In endemic regions, it has many detrimental effects on patients, families, communities and the health system. There is a knowledge gap in the various aspects of mycetoma, and hence, there is a need to bridge this through high-quality, cutting-edge research.<\/p>\n

Vision<\/h3>\n

The Mycetoma Young Researchers Association (MYRA) envisions a world where mycetoma, a neglected tropical disease, is no longer a health burden. Our goal is to advance research, raise awareness, and develop effective treatments to improve the quality of life for those affected by mycetoma for Zero Mycetoma Globally.<\/p>\n

MYRA’s mission is to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for young researchers dedicated to studying mycetoma. We aim to empower the next generation of scientists by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and networks to conduct high-quality research, advocate for mycetoma awareness, and contribute to the global fight against this disease.<\/p>\n
