استقبل مركز المايستوما المهني للتدريب وريادة الاعمال بسوبا وفد اسرة المرحومة عاتكة عبد الرحمن للوقوف على انشطة المركز وواحدة من اهم الدورات التدريبية بقسم المخبوزات وبرواق عاتكة والتي تقدمها الخبيرة منال البارون وبتشريف المهندس حسن عودة مدير قطر الخيرية -السودان. ووفد دال الغذائية ومركز تطوير المخبوزات برئاسة الاستاذة رانيا اسامة.
The MRC Annual Research Report Meeting
As part of the academic activities of the MRC, the annual report meeting was conducted at the Mycetoma Research and Development Arcade. The meeting was honored by the participation of Melanie Newport Professor in Infectious Diseases and Global Health at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

Sarya Industrial Complex visit to the Mycetoma Research Centre (MRC) and SAA’ID
The intended purpose:

University of Technology – Sudan
The delegation from the university of technology – Sudan visited The MRC and The Mycetoma Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Centre (SAA’ID).
The delegation included:High-ranking Pediatrics’ delegation from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board visit to the Mycetoma Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Centre (SAA’ID).
Visitors toured at the center's departments, Bazaar, pottery, leather handcrafts training, bakery, folkloric and cultural handicrafts, and carpentry workshop. The delegation received a detailed explanation from Professor Ahmed Hassan Fahal about SAA'ID and its social, health, development, and scientific objectives.

The workshop was attended by the center's staff and participants from abroad, including Fine Arts students and other volunteers. The participants were pleased with the presence of the able artist Mr. Khalid Hamid Youssif*, conceptual visual artist and digital video and tv production expert, who added an atmosphere of joy and expressed his admiration for the idea and the use of the lofty message of art to support patients and raise their voices.
Dioraphte Foundation Grant on Skin Neglected Tropical Diseases
The Mycetoma Research Center, recently was granted the Dioraphte Foundation Grant on Skin Neglected Tropical Diseases for a project entitled: The development of a point-of-care diagnostic test for mycetoma in Africa. The project has five collaborating centres and these are:
