As part of the continuous professional development activities of the Mycetoma Research Center, University of Khartoum staff, I had the chance to attend the Summer Program of Epidemiology at Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was an excellent introduction to the various Epidemiology concepts and its practical application in scientific research. It was conducted by highly professional experts from different parts of the world, and it was designed in a way that combined both to the theoretical and practical aspects of Epidemiology. The duration of the program was three weeks. Every week a new topic was discussed. The programme had enlightened and broadened my Epidemiology knowledge
